Recently graduated senior Michael Maiorano from South Medford High in Oregon joins DyeStat editor Doug Binder to discuss his track season, his upbringing, and his impressive baseball card collection. Maiorano is a diehard Detroit Tigers fan who spent his early years in a tiny Kansas town before moving to Medford. Maiorano emerged as a big talent as a junior in 2021 and ran 8:46.00 in the 3,200 meters at Arcadia in April. He finished second in the Oregon 6A 3,000 meters and third in the 1,500 meters. He will go to Seattle to participate in the Brooks PR Invitational on June 15.
